The Tellurium clock reproduces the yearly orbit of the earth around the sun, with the earth rotating around its axis once in 24 hours. The moon, in turn, revolves around the earth in 29.5 days, allowing the reproduction of the moon's phases as they are visible from earth. The earth is tilted on its axis and is rotated by an auxiliary gear train. In the course of one year, the earth passes all twelve zodiac signs, months and days which are indicated on the polished and engraved nickel-plated disc.
The Tellurium has an 8-day spring-driven movement with Westminster chime on 4 polished bells. The dial has Breguet (moon) style hour and minute hands, and a second hand. The clock is regulated by a Swiss 11 jewel platform lever escapement.

The mechanical 8-day Westminster quarter hour bell chime movement with 11 jewel lever escapement and a automatic night shut-off activates the mechanism showing the movement of the sun, moon and earth in the course of the year. The antique finish solid wood case with front and back door, metal applications, pearl decor, brass columns and bevelled glasses is surmounted by a glass dome with hand cut stars. The rotating sun-god, earth globe, moon and zodiac signs are metal cast matching the color of the etched date disc. Enamel dial and filigree hands add the finishing touch to this exquisite piece.
