The moon, in turn, revolves around the earth in 29.5 days, allowing the reproduction of the moon's phases as they are visible from earth. The earth is tilted on its axis and is rotated by an auxiliary gear train. In the course of one year, the earth passes all twelve zodiac signs, months and days which are indicated on the flat disc. 8-day spring wound movement with Westminster chime on 4 polished bells.
